I assume the iMacs and air books will get thunderbolt in the next few months. So where does that leave the iPad? Will it always be able to support thunderbolt too? Eventually?

another unhappy marriage, can't we all just play nice.
Since when do global mega-corporations every play nice. Dude, it's us against them. Maybe you just found that out.

Of course they are.
This kind of thing has to be paid for somehow. Common options:
1. Pay subscription
2. Ad supported
3. Loss-leader to help sell something profitable.
This rumor is suggesting that Apple is going with a combination of 1 and 3.

I expected your post to be something along this view ... can you source the fact he has little or nothing to do with Al-Queda?
He's just re-stating the obvious.
Al Quaeda isn't a tighly led organisation. It's a movement. Loosing a leader is of little concequence.
USA Today analysis from a few years back (http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-06-07-al-qaeda_N.htm).

Osama is dead, so what? The U.S needed him alive.
Actually this works out great for our PR. When he was alive he was a very powerful image to conjure up support for the ongoing wars, a great emotional appeal. Now that he's dead he can be trotted as an example of how we are winning and need to stay the course regardless of facts, reasoning, or actual reasons for getting our military into the Middle East again.

The Cherokee Memorial Park in Hopkinsville, KY, is where Chief Whitepath and Fly Smith, a clan leader, are buried. This site was one of the ration stops along the Trail of Tears.

I guess I must be old school, I'm a consumer and I think about my wallet before the corporations treasure chest. Apple isn't pumping most of the profits back int the company or paying it out to shareholders. It's sitting in the bank. Or maybe they have something unimaginably huge in mind and I guess that is a possibility.
Hasn't Apple's success helped you think about your wallet? Companies are just now being able to price-match the iPad.

Do you have any certain settings set? Because I have a 2.16 MBP with 2GB of memory and it takes like 40 seconds to suspend and resume. I'm not getting anywhere near the few seconds you guys are talking about.
How big is the memory configured for the VM you are suspending?

Forget MS I think Apple needs to worry about Sandisk and their 8gig flash player.
SanDisk has announced a drop in price for many of their digital audio players, including the e260 and e250, which are now $ 200 and $ 150 direct, respectively (with a limited free case offer). The cheaper c100's and m200's have also decreased in price, though most of SanDisk's models are quite a bit cheaper if you buy them from various webshops.
Also, hiding on SanDisk's site is a picture of the once-rumored e280 (8 GB), now visible under the e250/60 flash demo. Well, it says 8 GB on the back at least, I doubt it's a typo.
It seems SanDisk is gunning to push this out ahead of the next iPod Nano iteration, which many expect to get a bump in capacity as well. I'd really like to see an 8 GB player, but even more so I'd like SanDisk to work out the few little bugs in the e200's first and foremost (eliminate the headphone out noise, improve on-board playlisting, perhaps space out the playback buttons).
Using a firmware sandisk users haven't seen yet so that says something.

Black-on-white crime, much more prevalent than the reverse, is one of those open secrets the media doesn't like to report on, usually since they're too busy accusing whites of racism.
The media always reports on black on white crime, so much so, that they are often accused of over-reporting and fueling white people's fear of the big bad black man!

Microsoft has waited WAY too long to make any type of impact on the portable music device industry. iPod has been around now for too long, and has too strong of a grip on the marketshare for anyone to try to threaten their hold. This Zune thing will have to have some aspect to it that is totally it's own for anyone to take any notice to it whatsoever.
It has something unique, look at all the press covering it now, and how many of us are talking about it.

I would potentially like the idea of a little gesture area around the home button. Makes more sense than taking over 4-figure gestures to do app switching. Just slide your finger left or right over the home button and change apps without having to click it.

And for those of you who bought the expensive, one-button bluetooth mouse, sorry but...what the hell were you thinking!?
I was thinking that I like the one button mouse, I don't like cords, and the BT one button mouse has the nicest feel of any mouse I've ever used. That's what the hell I was thinking...
