I'm taking apart a unibody MacBook (white) and need a tri-wing #0 screwdriver.
I know that ifixit.com sells these, but I really need it right away. I have Amazon Prime and could get it tomorrow for $4. But, I can only find one item that's #0 and it's just a bit for $6. I also found a video game system kit of drivers for $36. But that's a little too much.
There's lots of Nintendo tri-wing drivers for sale on Amazon. But after googling for a good 1/2 hour I can't tell what size they are.
Does anyone know what size the Nintendo Wii tri-wing drivers are? Can you point out a tri-wing #0 driver on Amazon that's Prime eligible?

Congrats on the new purchase, I too will soon own a powerbook 15". I have used 3 different Linksys wireless routers and have been satisfied with all of them but the last one. The router is not working even though the wireless access is. If you are going to keep a PC handy then you shouldn't have any problems since you can only update firmware on the Linksys through a PC.

Meh. Canadian airsoft are required by law to be transparent. I don't have one, but they look very cheap compared to black ones, even if the insides are the same.
I know that nowadays the "transparent" part is really a smoked plastic that's really only transparent under harsh light. Looks pretty much like the real thing.

After waiting almost a month for my iPad to come in, I am getting this message "We are unable to complete your activation at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes." Anyone know if there is a problem with the server or if this is on apples end?

I believe you can put your Airport Express into bridge mode. Then wire it to the Netgear router. You can then configure the Airport Express with the same SSID and security credentials as your Netgear router.
Thanks for that, I'll get my mac nephew to have a look; he thinks I'm swearing at him when I used to ask him questions about my PC!
Generally, would it make everything better, and faster, if I simply ditched the Netgear router and bought another Airport Express?

What you should get depends on what you need he machine or and how long you wish to keep it.
Buy vase RAM from Apple and add 3rd party yourself.

Hello,
I'm new =)
I'm considering of buying macbook pro 15 i7, OR macbook pro 13 i5 + ipad2, since the price would be quite close.
I own two websites, running on apache server and I'm using Cpanel for managing it. Will I be able to run, check, edit,... my website on ipad?
thanks in advance,
Rok from Slovenia

Pages, part of the iWork package has a number of templates. I took one and modified it for my own photographs, and my name on the back. Then saved that as a template. Now I just drag and drop my own photos into my own template and print away. You can print onto a full size piece of paper ( 8 1/2 by 11 inches in North America) and then score and fold for big sized card, or you can buy pre-scored card paper in various sizes. I have templates for, iiirc, 3 card sizes now. Save time and put the card size as part of the template name. :)

Going through this tonight actually. I am changing out the HDD in my PS3.
I had to partition off a section of my External HDD and format it to FAT. As soon as I plugged it into the PS3 it recognized it and let me start the backup process. Took it about an hour and a half to backup.
Swapped HDD and am now in the process of putting my backup onto the new HDD. It is a MUCH slower process, it cooked through the first 55% in about 45 minutes but it's taken over an hour to go from 55% to 64%. I assume it has hit the game installs and it's just a lot of info to process and write...

Anyway, this is a good thing. The developers of apps should be able to make a profit on their creations (Not to mention, if it's a big enough hit, someone is just going to rip it off and port it to another OS anyway). It's not as if they'll ever give up developing on the iPhone.

Where has this "7455A" idea come from? Link?
rice_web:
If the 7455 has made it to 1.33ghz to 1.4ghz, then why do you think it took Apple so long to ship 1.25's? I think we can conclude that only a very small number of chips clock above 1.25ghz.

Hmm... Okay. Thanks for that.
Resetting the Power Manager and PRAM
Resetting the parameter RAM (PRAM) when the computer is shut down also resets the Power Manager. The following process resets both the Power Manager and the parameter RAM.
Taken from the bottom of this page (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449), just for the record.

Try taking that RAM out and putting the original Apple RAM back in (if you still have it). Atlease this will tell you if it is the RAM or not.

A good illustration of why mirror lock-up mode can be useful for maximum sharpness.
What amazes me the most is how "jiggly" the aperture blades are as they close down. Almost as if they have not totally settled by the time the shutter curtains are in motion.
Is this the same one that has been going around for a couple of years, or a new one?

I'm thinking of getting into iOS development. I need something different to do on the side and I'm just gathering facts at this point. I do have a pretty good C++ background from college, so it sounds like I'd just have to look into Objective C, etc. Again, I'm just looking at this as something to play around with as a side job. I'm just curious to hear from you all if it's worth my time.
Is there any money to be made as just an individual developer?
What type of revenue are you guys seeing from iAds?
How did you get started?
I've always wanted to use my programming background, and I love my Apple devices, so it seems like a way to bring all of that together.
Just looking for some direction. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,
Sorry for such a basic question but I'm kind of in a pinch and been looking pretty much everywhere and can't find anything. I've been using a lot of notepad++ on the Windows side for programming basic web stuff in class, and I really like how easy it is to use and how it poitns out where there are errors in your code, I was wondering if there is something similar to that for OSX. I've tried BBedit but I wasn't too pleased with its in ability to save as .php

You forgot rubber band guns ;)
And nerf guns can be awesome, especially if you take them apart and replace the spring with a slightly more hardcore version... makes for some awesome nerf wars.

Free museums rock, and for some reason I feel much better about dropping a $10 in the donation box than paying the mandatory $4 that other museums charge.
