Like mape2k said, if the problem is with Intel's integrated graphics, you could easily spend the extra $300 and see no improvement, and then I imagine you'd be quite disappointed.
You could always ask at an Apple Store about return policies if you're not happy with performance.
The 15" models should have no problem, but I take it they're out of your price range?

How many people file when they sell something on ebay. Do they go by the amount you sell or every transaction? I am sure ebay could set up a system to track sales.
eBay transactions rarely involve cash, right? Just see to it that the banks (card manager/paypal/whatever), which have accountants anyway, handle the tax part.

I just got one of these (Graphite 500mhz DV SE model) for dirt cheap too (10.50!). I intend to stick it in the garage and use it as a music player!
To answer your question it is indeed fanless and should be more or less silent. The issue I have is that the original 30GB Maxtor hard drive sounds like a jet turbine with marbles in it - let's hope your drives are quieter ;)

A great place to grab Jag for cheap is OWC, or eBay.
Jag never shipped on DVD-ROMs, unless they are the system restore discs, and even then I believe it was CDs.
The Wallstreets are a nice machine if you have enough RAM and a big HD in them. And if the person who sold you one didnt really screw you over by selling you a dying machine. -.-
I absolutely love my Wallstreet. It's even a Wallstreet II so it isn't one of those ones without a backside cache (think it was the backside cache) I mean yeah it has a couple problems. Dead battery, OS9.2. But I mean aside from that it's a great machine.
I got your PM artful, I'll let you know if I decide to go that route. :)

I had a 10% off coupon for buy.com, so I just bought it off them - I'm assuming that you already sold your iCurve anyway, cuz I would've rather bought it from you than from buy.com!
Actually it's not sold yet! I do have someone contemplating.

I'm probably going to be too late, still at work for a couple of hours
You might still be ok. I've been able to save my SHSH even the next day in the past but best not chance it. Do it asap.

Let me be clear that this is for myself - eg nothing against the EULA. I want to start folding again on my iBook, but I don't want to see the client. No dock icon, no menu extra, pretty much 'set and forget'. Is it possible? And if so, can someone walk me through it? Of course I'll be folding for 3446 :)

This is available again. My last seller bailed out on me. I just upgraded to the 16GB phone by swapping SIMs, and the 8GB iPhone is currently in a like brand new state. When you hit the sleep/wake button it gives you that "connect to iTunes" symbol, and when you plug it into iTunes, the screen comes up saying "Let's get started" and you can set up your service with AT&T. The phone has the brand new SIM that came in the 16GB iPhone.
Ask me any questions you have. I'm selling it for $350 + shipping.

Sweet tomorrow 4-6!
Ive noticed youve been down for the last week :( Man that sucks :( that has to be hard. A lot of areas around me were also affected. My sister on the other side of town lost power for nearly 2 days when a big oak tree fell down on some power lines. Came close to their house. Just hope everyone is safe.
yeah it has not been fun. i had to take my family to my parents' place for the last 5-6 days. luckily none of my family was hurt, and we didn't have any damage.

I used to have this wallpaper years ago, never saved it but did love it.
I even found an abstract version of it somewhere online where they got rid of the stars and the purple aurora area was simply purple shady lines..

upgrade baseband to 06.15.00 then jailbreak then unlock
Or
customized snowbreeze firmware and unlock same time
Or what do you think!
Use redsn0w to jailbreak it. When you run redsn0w, it has the option for you to install the ipad baseband. You can click on it and it will jailbreak and install ipad baseband onto your phone at the same time.
Just to make sure you have Ipad 1 3.2.2 firmware on your computer so redsn0w can do its job.

See the AnandTech article or the referenced MacRumors thread. The Samsung drive appears about 15-20% faster in some of the benchmarks.
No, I meant the number of people who have one vs the the other, not the speed of the SSDs.

I was about to do the info page for "PowerPC" when I found that wikipedia already has a very complete and factually referenced entry on it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerPC) For broad topics like these, is it acceptable to use their page? Or should something else be done, like a link to wikipedia? I know much of the information on the page doesn't apply to Macs specifically, so should that be removed?
Edit: and material on the 68000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/68000)?
