Everyone here seemed to have bought the black iphone 4 and now are buying the white iphone 4? I think that is stupid, why not just wait for iphone 5????
Plus, you buy a white iphone then putting a case on it? lol, why not just buy a white case for your black phone?
Sorry, I love apple products but these complains and (no offense) re-buyers of a $299+ product just for a color change is ridiculous. Plus is anyone out of contract yet? So you are renewing your contract and paying $299+ for old technology. This gives all us other apple enthusiasts a bad name (as being people without any common sense).
How many are waiting for the 'nano colored' one???? :p

ok, now that the quarter's over, maybe we can get some hardware releases. Me thinks they were waiting to get the full effect for the holiday quarter, but then again, what do I know.

We got them!
Well, we may pass each other back and forth a few times before we can really pull away...
Next target: 2.3 weeks away! Keep Folding!
And a little pat in the back as I just took the #8 spot on the team. Watch out this week #7! After it gets more tricky and WhiteRabbit is coming behind faaaaast...
was' up Doc! Yeah, looks like we will do musical chairs with Lithuania again maybe, he he, hope they are up to it :D
You know the story about the rabbit and the frog? Good, neither do I :p Oh, and pat on the back too.
That dang i7 is going back to normal units until I can figure out why it is so sloooooow... like a tortise...

I bought a pint of frozen yogurt here tonight. Half Ghirardelli Chocolate, half Chocolate Butterfinger. So good.

Where the McDonald's staff doing the right thing, where they obeying McDonald's policy?
Almost certainly. McDonald's has an aversion to being sued. Remember last time?
Should they be fired?
Of course not. They aren't the local constabulary.

how slow?
i engaged an octo late last week, will set up another tomorrow. they both run 24/7.
the graphic designers using them rarely require more than 1 core anyway :)
alright! nice! let us know how they are doing, and run the bigadv units if you can

There should be a setting something like:
- Never ask for password for purchases of $X and under.
- Always ask for password for purchases of $Y and over.
The first one would be nice so it I could set it to free and easily update my apps.
The second would help prevent cases like the OP.
Per the Apple way, it wouldn't be a user configurable setting. But otherwise, I agree.

All the rest of the stuff (dealing with power outages, internet outages, maintenance, restarts, software updates, etc.) is nonsense. It's what I do normally or would only very remotely occur.
I didn't say it was a BIG deal, just that it may be a factor to consider. Granted, I did lump in "basically anything that could cause your server to not be available when you need it".
I actually do keep all my music on a NAS in my basement so I can access it anywhere. It generally works well. However, sometimes my home internet connection is down and I can't connect. And one problem with my NAS (D-Link DNS-323) is that after a power failure, it doesn't automatically start up again when the power comes back. That has been the cause of many "Grr, why isn't it connecting?" moments for me. It's not a big problem, I just have to remember to go downstairs and turn it on again. And lately I've noticed that instead of spinning up the drive to give me my files, it times out and doesn't let me connect at all. Maybe a firmware upgrade needed?
All I'm saying is, I can see paying $20/year to not have to deal with these kinds of issues.

I've seen the blue screen on XP. It's funny because I've been told by Windows users that it doesn't exist in XP, yet I witnessed it two weeks ago when a colleague of mine was trying to do something with Adobe Acrobat. The program just spazzed and the blue screen came up.
Your colleague either downloads porn/warez, or there is a potential hard drive physical failure (bad sectors on the disk), or he has crappy 3rd party drivers. Seriously, I've never seen the blue screen in XP and I've used XP since it came out on 3 computers plus work. These jokes on the XP blue screen are so misinformed that the laugh is on the joker. XP is very stable considering how much compatibility it has to provide for the infinite combinations of drivers, software and hardware.

I want an iPod that can read my mind...I'll bet Apple could do it
Well, mine almost do it...
:D :D
But seriously, I'm not sold to that idea. Most of the time, my pod is in my bag and I became pretty good at changing songs without taking it out.
Anyway, with this idea, I guess that I would HAVE to take it out to skip songs... without touching the unit...

Ugh, I finally caught up with the latest firmware version while jailbroken last week, and then this is released. I wouldn't have a problem with it if I didn't suffer from the Facetime glitchiness that I'm now experiencing on 4.3.1.

Once you get over the delusion of Macs running iOS apps, the Apple TV 2 makes the most sense.
