I'd love to see the Tea Party try that. :p Could you imagine the majority leader losing his seat at a time when his party doesn't have the Senate or Presidency? That would be such a huge blow.

When I'm producing songs in Cubase I try and get them as close to 0 Decibels without going over as possible. They tend to be a decent volume for this, and then they never distort :)

I had an idea, in the iFixIt teardown they mentioned it is now possible to replace the graphics chips in the new iMac's, I would like to buy a base model iMac, �999. And then swap the graphics in for a AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics chip with 1GB or 2GB memory.
But I can't find any chips online to buy? Can you not buy these?
You can find them, but its hard and they are expensive. Apart from that it is not a good idea to open an new iMac and void the warranty by messing around with the internals.

first thing is first, phpMyAdmin works, and i can add db's and users.... so it would seem that mysql is running.
but when sending mysqli(localhost, user, pw) i get:
Connection error (2002) No such file or directory
i added "mysql.default_socket = /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/var/mysql/mysql.sock" to /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/etc/php.ini
first and restarted apache and mysql. still a no go.
so to check that it is actually mysql running the phpMyAdmin page, and not say sqlite fooling me, i ran:

Do you have a CF reader?
If you do:
Put card in
open it up on your desktop
drag and drop all contents to your internal hard drive
drag and drop to your external
This will give you 2 complete copies of your raw
If you don't:
transfer footage with the utility to your internal
Then drag and drop all media onto external
This will also give you 2 copies of your raw
Transcode raw only on the drive you are working with. If you need to relink to your backup later, you will have to transcode that when the time comes. But I would keep my backup as 100% raw original files.
NOTE: Don't ever change file names when you import. Use log notes for labeling. If you rename anything and your normal copy gets screwed, it will be a major PITA to relink with your media with the backup.
NOTE2: You should never work off your internal drive so I would technically replace the word "internal" above to "other external device".

Possibly so that they can process most of the people with reservations before starting with the people without? After all, it wouldn't be fair if they had lots of spare units and started letting people just walk in and buy one, with people in the reservation line having to wait.

I'll especially do it if you've submitted multiple tracks off the same album. Sometimes, tho, if there's been a large number of submissions at any one time, I'll just do the lot of it, and let it ride, knowing they'll rotate out with the next batch to come in.

The SGP Neo Hybrid EX rubber has just enough grip that it won't slide freely on a surface, but it still slips in and out of my jeans pocket just fine. It comes with one back protector and one screen protector, both are pretty good.
I would get the Pinlo. About the same price. Not sure about the screen shield quality. But, most people say the SGP either becomes loose or breaks after a few months, so you will likely be buying another. The Pinlo will have more longevity...

Sorry, but I really, really hate Now Up to Date and Contact.
Crash prone, poor tech support, and a file structure that guaranteed that you lost the connection between contacts and appointments if you had to recover or export a file. That was my bitter experience with versions 2.x - 4.x

Export your video via Quicktime export in Final Cut (Go to Export and click QuickTime on the top of the list) -> Use the ProRes Settings.
After this, open up Apple Compressor and take the iPhone 4 preset to compress your ProRes file into a much smaller file (around 1GB).
This will allow you to watch it on AppleTV, iPhone 4, Quicktime, etc...

I dont see why they wont have FM radio on the 4G.... unless they want it to be unique to the Nano only.... but it would help compete against Zune....

Unfortunately, that will only pump songs to my iDevice within my LAN.
So... this is not a good solution because I want to be able to access my entire itunes library on the go. I hope the rumors are true and iTunes is gonna flippin use its data center for once and supply people their music on the go with just a 3G connection
Well you can try something like setting up a NAS server at home and connecting to it, or using AMAZON's cloud player or using something like sugarsync to upload to the cloud and play from there :)
