I really hope T-Mobile isn't chosen...I had them for a year and a half and what horrible customer service. Not to mention that their coverage in Palm Springs, CA is horrible. Apple should go with Verizon, I did go with AT&T myself, but Verizon is rated highest of all the carriers for customer satisfaction and coverage.
I've been with T-mobile since the 1st sidekick and am still with them because of their customer service. They have the best CS IMO

Well, this is confusing.
Last year Macrumors posters told me in no uncertain terms that CR is always wrong.
So how am I supposed to take this news?
That was when CR posted something bad about Apple product. Now they tell the truth again, because they post good stuff about Apple product. It makes sense...

3GB download. It's times like this I wish I lived in Hong Kong.
Why Hong Kong? I live in The Netherlands and got a 120Mbit/s download.
If the server is willing, I can download at 14MByte/s max.

Let's hope he didn't use a cross compiler when making the app....
Haha, exactly what I was thinking.
Sometimes, the app store restrictions are a bit ridiculous, and when Apple realizes that they're dealing with people who know what they're doing, they remove those restrictions quickly.

...or Apple could allow returns, like every "normal" store.
No normal store allows software returns. Nice try though.

that is NOT, and I repeat NOT a white iPhone, that is a fake white Phone. NOW, Do you get it?
Agreed, there were aftermarket front and back plates for sale since last year so you could convert your black iP4 to a white one, the picture must be of one of those modified white iPhones.
Otterbox, a maker of iPhone 4 cases, also confirms http://www.otterbox.com/iPhone-4-Reflex-Series-Case/APL7-I4XXX,default,pd.html?dwvar_APL7-I4XXX_color=20&start=2&cgid=apple-iphone-4-cases:
No evidence that they have the white iPhones, they could be basing it on the possibly faked image

Everyone is dressed up but Steve....awesome.
He did wear a tux to the oscars at least.
That's pretty interesting, I would find it more PR-Stunty to see him in his Steve outfit at the Oscars than at a Dinner with one of the most important people of the world.

Chomping at the bit to be at Stonebriar, can't leave here til 4!
My parents just got there, my mom is awesome (swap out with her once I get there). My dad said that they were around 20-25 in line, and within 30 minutes there are now 25 people behind them...so 50 people total (rough estimate.) So I am not sure but I am guessing that line to be over 100+ people around 1ish....I am shocked so many people are there so soon. Maybe its just me though....maybe this is normal....
This is update for StoneBriar...

I hope Apple does the "...go where the puck is going." and provide Lion on a flash drive. I would use it even if I was using a Mac with a DVD drive built-in.

But here you're implying that Apple has any rights at all to the word podcast, when it was clearly invented by someone else (Adam Curry, perhaps, though there is some debate; it was certainly not Apple Computer). How in the heck can they make a claim? It's not like they are called iPodcasts. That I could see being an infringement. Just how far are they intending to go with the word 'pod'?
I agree wholeheartedly - how can they trademark a term someone else created?
For a company that was so rebellious and different in its infancy, Apple sure is getting cranky in its middle age.

It's clear that California, Texas, and Washington all have bad deficits. Two of them have 0% income tax while one has 10.6%. What conclusion do you want me to draw from this?
I don't want you to draw any conclusion. I was simply trying to correct what I thought were some misconceptions about California.
You're right that this state does have one of the highest deficits and tax rates for high incomes. However, if you look at the figures, despite the tax rate, Californians still earn more per capita on average than Texans. If you're looking to save money, it doesn't necessarily make sense to move.
Look at this chart (http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxdata/show/482.html) from the Tax Foundation. Texas's total tax burden is 7.9%, 1.9% lower than the national average, yet Texas's per capita GDP is $40,498, $2,041 below the national average. Obviously their lower state tax burden doesn't equate into more wealth for the individual. There are other factors involved.

No. Steve Jobs has consistantly talked about the Mac Culture having class. The Windows culture doesn't. The ad about the Mac home video illustrates this point, with Gisele. That Dell has some random pothead trying to sound hip and the Get a Mac ads have Justin Long, a successful actor and purported teenage-heart-throb, further illustrates this point. This is the same reason Apple spend $4M on the 1984 ad and had Jeff Goldblum and Richard Dryfus narrate their TV ads while PC ads usually have spinning text and always end with the Intel doorbell.
I miss the blue man group intel ads :(

They are not looking to cut funding for PP, they are looking to eliminate funding.
This is all a circle jerk. They are arguing over less than 1% of the budget. We are 6 months into the budget year already. Can you imagine what the 2012 budget negotiations will be like?
Oh I didn't realize they wanted to eliminate funding, I thought it was just an argument over reducing it.
I agree they can't seem to make 1% cuts how in the world are they going to make the cuts we really need? We have a spending problem, but I also think we have a revenue problem. Spending needs to be cut and taxes need to go up until we have a situation where $1 in taxes = $1 in spending. If that was the case things would look MUCH different, but we would be in much better shape for the long term future.

Holy ****ing ****. I had no idea you could do that. I have the iPad app, but i didn't know there was a remote function. I thought it was like the phone app where you could only set your DVR with it.
Wow!
