Again, us Americans with our fake subsidy. Other countries are getting iPhones for free with contract. Lame.
Oh, and if people think T-Mobile is better, they increase the subsidized price of their G2 and myTouch 4G to $249 from $199 not too long ago.

I just want subscriptions on my iPad and the main point is, whether you agree or disagree with Apple's opt-in policy, this is still a major sticking point with many publications. Of all the magazine/newspaper apps I use on my iPad only 2 have adopted the new subscription policy. NYT was one of those but I deleted it because those prices were insane. I just want subscription options from Wired, Popular Mechanics and Sports Illustrated. I don't care about Apple's policy, I don't care if the publisher gets my info or not... I just want subscriptions!!!!!! I have stopped and will never pay another $5 per issue for anything on the iPad. Subscriptions or nothing!

I know in 10.4 you can enable the machine as an xgrid client. Can you run the server portion in 10.4 or do you have to have the 10.4 server?

why even bother coming out with a white iphone for this year? Does anyone really care anymore?
Well, I think this is the best proof that we could get that there won't be a radically designed iPhone 5 this year, but an iPhone 4GS or something like that. It just doesn't seem logical that Apple would invest time and money in the production of a cellphone type that will be obsolete in less than 5 months.
Imagine the outrage when all these people buy white iPhones now, and three months later a new model is introduced (with a white option too).

This had better fix the battery drain. Had enough of it now.
Turn off ping - it's on by default. You can turn it off in the restrictions. I never used it but it was turned on by default. Did wonders to my battery life.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with their 18 year old son staying at a mate's place. But then consider what could be going on over there, drinking, drugs, killing hookers - all far worse than 18 year olds trying their hardest to have sex.

I just don't understand this whole "he's 18 and and adult" routine. He may be 18 in the eyes of the law, but with no real life experience behind him I hardly think he can be considered mature enough to make adult decisions. What's with this whole "hey presto the law says your an adult so you your all grow up now" ??

Hopefully this means they'll be expanding the movie and TV show selections on iTunes. I can rarely find anything good to watch. And decrease the compression already! I've had to ask for my rental money back on several occasions because dimly lit scenes look horrific.

Can any cell phone capable of connecting to the web be used as a Bluetooth modem with an iPad that's been jail broke?

That really depends on what apple does. The iPhone didn't have a launch event outside of waiting in long lines to find out they had plenty of stock.
It will probably be a line of people waiting to get the software so they can go home and break their machines like I plan to do.

There honestly is no need to update the iPhone line EVERY year at this point. iPhone 4 was the biggest jump and I don't see a reason to jump again so soon, especially after Verizon customers JUST recived access to the phone. I can understand updating the models to include 4G, but at this point 4G IMHO is not needed. It's not a mature enough standard to expect iPhone owners to have smooth service with Verizon and AT&Ts 4G networks. I see them both being great next year, but it'd be a forced move on Apples part.
I disagree in some ways. Physically there may not need to be a strong reason to upgrade, but with competitors moving so quickly, Apple has to release new hardware. Whether it be NFC, LTE or dual-core, something has to be done to refresh and have something new in buyers minds.
Granted at this point I think the i4 is speedy enough as it is and it's mostly software now. Things like notifications and other related annoyances.
