It was obvious that the Intel switch was going to be a fantastic move for Apple. My Apple hating friends have bought or are planning to buy C2D iMacs. I knew Apple got it right when one guy who constantly hated Apple said on MSN messenger "I'm in OSX, it's too dangerous online in Windows". I wasn't planning on buying a new Mac for a long time but the Bootcamp ability lets me get back to work on making games and making money. Another mate of mine wants an iMac because they're slim, cheap and very quiet and was impressed as hell when we made a DVD in a few minutes with all our adventure video and photographs.
Intel, you are ****ing legends.

1. its obvious you have never used android
2. the xoom is an excellent device. those stating they think that having a dedicated tablet OS is silly is kidding themselves. How can you consider yourself a "power user" and be tripped up by honeycomb? Seriously, can you only operate touch screens' with grids? I would would submit facebook has a tougher learning curve than honeycomb, but stop with the comments already, 2.2/2.3/3.0 are very well done OS's
...
Yes yes yes, they're all just awesome OS's and the buying public really seems to be dedicated to all the sweet flavors of these many sugary-named, fragmented platforms. Anyway...
knock-knock
WHO'S THERE?
"a true tablet OS blah, blah, blah."
A TRUE TABLET OS, HOW CAN YOU TELL?
"there are not enough applications made for me to even arrange in a grid!"
:)

Trump has no moral compass.
That may be, but that does not excuse one from referring to one's own.

I could not agree with you more!
My current iPhone is my last! I disgusted with Apple's monopolist stranglehold on the product and apps. They have become total control freaks.
When this phone dies, it will NOT be replaced with another Apple product.
They have become? :) They have always been control freaks. That's why the platform is so good...

In an ethnic sense, an Ashkenazi Jew is one whose ancestry can be traced to the Jews of Central and Eastern Europe.
...
A 2006 study found Ashkenazi Jews to be a clear, relatively homogenous genetic subgroup
Yes Corvus, that i already knew. But since they trace their roots to europe, and not the middle east, that technically makes them caucasian. And with the amount of blonde/red haired jews with blue eyes and fair skin i've met in my life, it's a hard pill for me to swallow to say they're not white. :p

I don't really understand your confusion here: the government is essentially selling the taxpayer a bundle of services. If they lower the price, it costs them money. Surely that isn't so complicated?
Terrible analogy.
As soon as I can choose whether or not to buy the services your analogy becomes valid. That will be the day

Even then we're still talking about hundreds of articles. I think it would be faster to design a structure as best we can, implement it, then fix any problems if there are any. That way we might have to edit some articles twice, rather than definitely having to edit all the articles in the beta categories twice.

Maybe I should upgrade from 2008 to the 2011 version now. Is it really any better?
Oh, and don't tell me iWork. I do not like Pages/Keynote/whatever at all.
Better in many ways. But less stable.

I like this, Dale! The first one, Never show your work to anyone, you could take the opposite way. If you never showed your work to anyone you could think you're among the best! Okay, maybe you still suck but you could go through life in blissful ignorance!! :)
I wouldn't necessarily call concentrating on one thing a fixation, and even if it is, who cares? If you're constantly photographing what you enjoy, eventually you see more and more details to express through your photographs. Just enjoy! And share!

White doesn't do it for me much. Is this how Apple wants to attract more female users? I know that's part of why RIM releases white devices...

When you are watching a YouTube video, I tend to forget where the home button is. Or when surfing the web for some time while in the dark.
And I don't literally mean glow in the dark like those cheap Halloween things, I'm talking about an actual light behind the capitative square symbol which has a sensor which turns on when there is a certain level of darkness.
I can easily envisage this happening . It would look fantastic.
Wouldn't that be so annoying in the dark, like the backlight on the keyboard of a MBP when your watching a movie?

I really don't get why people who come up with specs don't think ahead. When SD came out it has a 2GB limit. So they updated it, SDHC for a 32GB limit. Now they had to update it again, SDXC for a 2TB limit. They should have just designed the format to scale in the FIRST place.
For example: CompactFlash came out in like 1994 and has scaled all the way up to like 137GB, when the first cards were under 1MB.
