An early gift from my parents.
One of my gifts was the bowl game that you were watching. First SDSU bowl win in many years. It's too bad the Chargers didn't follow suit...
Anyways, Christmas presents! My main gift was a nice Citizen eco-drive watch from my girlfriend. I also got cash, a nice bottle of scotch and a cool little toy RC chopper to supplement the four channel one I already have. Had some fun times buzzing the pet cat!

Yea the last one was ridiculous, and crazy overpriced for what it was -the 4cyl was quoted around $30,000 and didn't have automatic *anything*, the seats felt like park benches, and it didn't have any of the nice interior features the 6cyl that cost 35+ did.
It had cool trunk hinges and tail lights, though. And that 2.0T is a neat engine (I'm sad they are launching the 2011 with a 2.5.. wtf?!)

I could not disagree more. There is nothing wrong with a focused keynote. In fact, it is somewhat refreshing once and a while to have a situation where the man himself takes the time to really go into what I believe is one of the most revolutionary concepts I have seen. Not only is it functional, but aesthetically it is amazing. The price is high if you were expecting them to give it away, but the fact is they have pulled it off and brought mobile technology to the next level and far beyond.

Samsung know they are in trouble with the Apple suits, and rightly so. But instead of just defending the suit against them, they are making stuff up to get back at Apple.

I was not talking crap. That little tid pit I put in about the filing only if getting pissed off and sued came form our resident patent lawyer on these boards who explain why many times you only see law suits after they get sued. They go into the file if sued by so and so bring these up.
That is why many of these patents are filed away and never really sued unless antoher company starts pissing you off or acting childish like Apple. It gives you more leverage to use against them in their lawsuit against you.

Try this as well -
Take both cards out and power the computer up. Any ticking? How about the kernel panic?
If everything is fine, try just one of the cards. If everything is kosher, pull it out and try the other. If it's fine again, I would assume that they can't work together.
Have you called Other World Computing to ask them if they will both work together?
If they will, I would start checking power supply lead voltages, you could be experiencing a power supply failure causing an undervoltage occurrence to the cards, thus causing a kernel panic.
EDIT - Just noticed that you also ordered memory. Where did you order it from, and was it listed as Mac compatible?
Also, are the SATA cards installed with new hard drives? That again could cause an undervoltage situation if the supply is failing.

4.3 and 4.3.1 has been a disaster. The animations are so choppy it makes it almost androidesque. I hope they actually fix it this time rather than just patching a jailbreak. I wish I could go back to 4.2.1 where the phone was actually stable and smooth.

i don't see why so many people think iChat on a phone is so crazy or why it would need to be wifi.
i have a button on my Razr that is a direct connection to AIM so instant messaging from a phone isn't crazy, two of the people on my buddy list are on mobile phones.
iChat would be faster then texting and just cause this "second phone" would be very iChat based doesn't mean it wont be a phone. It sounds very sidekick like and the sidekick of course has AIM on it.
If they make a phone that will beat the Sidekick (shouldn't be too hard) then i'm in, i'd prefer that then just a a regular candy bar phone
But that is the problem. Instant messaging has been on phones for over two years. Why would they want to sell a phone on instant messaging if everybody pretty much already has a phone with IM already? There's no reason to buy it if they're going to advertise a feature people already have it on their phones.

For those of you looking for just the kind of person I am talking about- well, here he is- CaoCao. CaoCao cannot be reasoned with or negotiated with. No matter what anyone says or proves, CaoCao does not care. He is interested in destroying, or at least settling for harming, people like me. He does not simply want to peacefully coexist and have an opinion. He wants us put in our place.

I think you can only do that in Text Mode with iChat AV. Audio and Video Modes are for 1-to-1 connections only.

Yeah I have permission to use the iMacs, they're my dad's and brother's, respectively, and they're both into helping out with this project, as my dad's father died of alzheimer's and my brother had cancer recently.
As far as the new computer goes, I will probably do one this year and the other the next, I just need to figure out which. The MBP would be a high end 15" i7 Sandy Bridge whenever those are ready. The PC would also be an i7 Sandy Bridge (2600k, probably overclocked a little) after the Sandy Bridge is ready again, with a GTX 570 most likely. Although I love building PCs I'm leaning towards getting a new MBP because I travel A LOT (literally half my year is normally spent away from home; I fly for an aerial mapping company) and I would really like to be able to play stuff like Civ V at good frame rates and would enjoy having a little bit more battery life for long airline flights. Not to mention the awesome cpu for compressing my blu ray collection and of course, folding. The kicker will be seeing how the specs for the new MBPs actually shake out, especially the gpu.

got mine today, very impressed at the sheer smallness of the thing. my first ipod since the 4G click wheel, which started playing up a lot in about april, and now is pretty much completely dead.
i think this will do me, i only really wanted it for train journeys to my girlfriends, and it's not like i'm away for days at a time so i can come home and change the songs and the order of the albums. i don't think i'll actually use the shuffle feature all that often, if ever. i'm an albums kinda guy, me.
one small question, is there any way of getting eq settings? i made sure all the songs are set at being on the correct eq before moving them over to the shuffle...but i'm not sure this will actually have an effect when they are played on the unit, and as it's charging at the moment there's not a way i can check. i'm a big fan of the 'rock' eq, the songs just don't sound the same flat! anyone?
