In Dubai when you come back you have to show your AP and supporting docs if they ask you to. I came back this July 18th.
I had absolutely no problems, it's all smooth as long as you carry all the supporting docs. I did have a shitty experience at JFK -- there are few morons at the POE you can't do much about.
What are the supporting docs along with AP? I will be travelling by Emirates via Dubai in Novemeber.

Thanks for your info..and I wish you good luck. By any chance are you aware whether i need to send new fees or old fees? As a precaution I am going to sending the diff amount in a separate check.
They should be OK with the old fee, however to be safe I would send an extra check to make up the difference for new fee. Explain it in the cover letter and let them decide.

I would think writing back to the Senator's office regarding your email and the unrelated response you got from the office has frustrated you, as the Senators does not seem to understand the problems, and therefore you are asking for an appointment to meet with the senator and explaining it personally.
You may not get the appointment to meet with the Senator, but you will let them know how badly they are screwing up constituents complaints. By following up and actually meeting with an immigration staff members in the Senator's office will be good.

Please CONGRATULATE to the new President on Tuesday by all channels and DEFINITELY ASK the question " Now that you are the president, do you want to further punish us for being legal and sticking to the rules and hence make us wait forever in these long painful EB2/EB3-I long queues, . Mention about 5882, small admin fix.

does he want to give us some immediate relief. Dont forget to mention we can buy houses, not new job applicants, legal etc and HIgh-skilled.

I am not sure if line 14 of the ETA carries much significance. You can always submit your qualifications during I140.
Can you get a copy of ETA 750 Form A? That will tell you if the job requirements were filed under EB2 or Eb3.

I have a masters from US and over 2 years of exp when I joined my company. They filed for my LC. There is nothing in form 750 B ETA that says if I am EB-2 or EB-3. In fact the line line 14 is blank which says list documents that support education, training, experience..etc. to be submitted during I-140. I suspect though on ETA 750 form A they made the advertisement as if I am eb-2. So the question is I do not see anything on line 14 of ETA form B. Is that a big blunder.
Did my lawyer blunder or I am ok?
My labor is not cleared yet. So no way to check I-140.

These may include statements from past employers, diplomas, and educational or training certificates. now this column is blank. Is that a problem? Did my lawyer made a big unrectified mistake.

No Bro. I told them when i came to US in 2000 the salary was 1/20 or 1/25 of what I can make in US. So US was an attractive option. Now the salaries in India are close to 10 lacs per annum, it turns out to be 1/4 or 1/5 of what i make here. With less taxes, less cost of living and facilities in india good enough i guess i live a happier life in India than here.
SO i was presenting him my point that moving back to India may turn out to be a wonderful decision than getting stuck here. If every highly qualified immigrant take this decision and leave, US will be at loss. I did manage to convince him that losing us is a bad thing for US economy. That is how he managed to portray my story in a good way.

you can re-enter with previous visa stamp with company A's annotation as long as it is still valid..however, you need to have the latest I-797 approval notice from your current employer and show it to the immigration officer at the poe...

People who are stuck in the immigration process should do a better job in uniting and in working with registered voters so that the issue of immigration reform is a concern for any incumbent elected official.
No one approach is perfect but undocumented workers do a better job in connecting with their community and letting their voices heard than so called "skilled immigrant" community. Our silence makes CIR amnesty and will be dead on arrival.

Sorry, I read the one in Washington post and I DONT think it is against us. It points out some US people don't like legal immigrate but it also shows why US companies need foreign high-skilled workers.

I'm on H1B visa and my wife is on H4 visa. We file our taxes as a joint return. My wife is currently studying for MS. She has received in-state tuition fees. We received 1098-T from the university. I'm thiking about getting a lifetime learning credit which will reduce my tax bill. My questions are:
* Are people on H1/H4 allowed to take lifetime learning credit for graduate studies?
* Will this have any negative effect on our greencard in the future?
