Get the card w/the S-vid out and run that into your camera. Be warned though that most games, when playing in the normal full screen mode, will turn off the 2nd monitor so you might end up having to "play" the game on your DV camera's flip out screen.

    mnkeybsness,
You can only send video out via FW if the program you are using, like iMovie or FCP, knows how to send video out via FW (and assuming that the hardware you are sending it to knows how to accept video input via FW). FW is just a digital i/o so, for example, a video game will not "see" FW as a video out unless it's been specifically coded to see FW as a video out.

i don't have a car, so i'm slightly limited in my options. 6am is what seems reasonable to me (i have absolutely no desire to camp out over night). I'll risk the later start and if it means I have to wait a few days because I wasn't up early enough. So be it.

I may be a fan, but I am not a fanatic.

In glen cove, long island, so iPad would have to be re synced on their comp?
I think I'd have to enter my password for the app on his computer to synch it. Then sign out.

I have a 2009 13" MBP 2.26 C2D, 4 GB RAM, and I am looking to upgrade to the 15" low end model. Now I am a college student, and I do a lot of webcaming(iChat), MS Office, Firefox, movie watching, and looking at large(100+ pgs) PDFs(>100MB), and yes, I do a lot of this at once. I can have about 7 or 8 things open at once. So far, my computer is holding up, but sometimes it can hang. Pretty soon I am also going to start playing some games, and I know the integrated graphics are a step up from my 9400M. I am really looking forward to the 15" screen, but I am wondering if I will really see a difference in my day to day activities with at 2.0 Core i7 Quad. I know that an i7 Quad is overkill for me, but I believe in resale value and future proofing. Also, do you think it would be worth it do upgrade the screen resolution?
    Thanks in advance!

Oh please... This is a stupid drawing, the iPod is not gonna look like this. The Apple engineers know what they are doing.

We would have to compare the current ipod with it's patent sketches to know how different it can be

Hello there, thanks for the answer!

I wasn't clear about that but I do want to sell the mini, not just the license! I'll sell the whole package at once.

I guess it will be easier?

What programs are they using to put these papers together? What precisely do you mean by templates i.e. grids, style sheets, the works?

Many newspapers use proprietary large-scale publishing systems, sometime with their own custom-designed fonts... not something you can just download and use.

As a part of the Social Studies expert project for my students (middle school), I would like them to create some sort of a newspaper about a historical event they chose to research, describe the event as if they were reporting at the site and share it with other students and families. They will be using word and I want it as simple as possible.

Very nice. First thing that went through my mind when I saw the new look was how professional it looks. Great job :)

Everything also DOES seem to load a lot faster. Now I think this site will get a lot more of my traffic rather than that bloated black hole Spymac

There is also the ipod part that plays video and music
What do you plan on doing on an iPod touch without the Internet? The only thing I can think of is the handful of games that let you multiplayer over wifi....

For Toy Story 3 coming out this week, I wanted to take advantage of the ATV drives that the Iconfactory put out. I'm hoping they put out a few more, but these are kind of cool for the time being.

Should I just wait for the battery to run out or what? Any help would be appreciated!
Just press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, until it shuts off. Then power it back on.

Nobody knows. We will likely know when Steve plans next years Macworld. If it is at SF, there is a good chance it will always be at SF.

Next year's MacWorld is already set. It's a week later than this year's - but it's in the same place (Moscone West, SF).

I miss the old Apple... The Apple that had the great, funny commercials. And also the fun to watch commercials. I remember these, they were the BEST. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN3RU8pJR74

So why don't they make these anymore?

Well, I am so NOT the target audience for those ads - they don't speak to me at all. If anything, then I knew exactly what product NOT to buy after watching that ad.

The last Apple ads that I liked were the Think Different ads with Alfred Hitchcock & Co. And before that, the Charles Chaplin ads. That tells me a lot about how much Apple changed and with them their target audience.

Go look at Pages; Word's been the "standard" for years and Pages can write Word documents. I'm sure if Lasso, Numbers, Charts, etc. will also be able to save in Excel documents. I believe AppleWorks can, and if this is a step up, and since the world has moved a little more, there should be no problem with Excel and Apple's new application.
    There are still two problems:

    1) While Pages and Keynote may be exported to Word and Powerpoint, it is not flawless. When working with word documents and presentations small changes may not matter significantly, but when dealing with numbers, there is ZERO room for error.

    2) Pages and Keynote (and it seems the "Lasso") are all targeted at the non-experienced computer user. Unfortunately, for the most part, that is the exact opposite audience who use spreadsheets.

I'm saying screw it. I waited in line at the first one but since they're requiring in store activations I'm going to wait until they're in good supply with no lines to pick it up.
