First image is a good mockup but is most probably a fake.
The gap between the screen in the top right hand corner is wider than the gap in the middle and bottom. Or is it just my eyes?

That's a very good explanation Knight, I'm starting to understand some things better. Let me go do some stuff (eat, banks, etc) and I'll post an updated code with the startTimer method you mention and continue with that 1 timer. I'll be back soon.

I got it for the Xbox 360 yesterday at 8am (in the mail, that was still like 12ish hours before US because I'm in New Zealand) :)
I got the Hardened Edition and I like the game so far. Will still play Modern Warfare 2 occasionally.

Why would you run a promotion on something that sells out the moment they come into inventory? Sales are for Android products that can't be moved any other way.
Perhaps it is something like, "Purchase an Android device and we will let you buy an iPad."
I think I get it now. They save inventory so they can advertise they have iPad2 in stock on date x. Date x comes a long and hordes of people flock to their stores, buying all of their iPad2s in minutes. They now have an opportunity to try and move some of their Xoom inventory on the more gullible in the group. I am sure most stores are trying to figure what pieces of the Xoom can be recycled.

Y would they make a verizon iPhone before July when they come out with a new one anyway. It's stupid I'm shure that they will come out with one when they always come out with them in JULY. They will make more money (maybe) if they do what they always do, unless apple is becoming like the driods and make a new one every month. I have tried Verizon. It sucks. Even with the discount I get for working for GM it still sucks. Droped calls all the time. Half the time the conversation cut in and out and both sides would have to repeat their selves. And their customer service sucked too.
I have had no problems with AT&T and have had great customer service. I think ill keep my network.

Shopping at Best Buy is a crime in itself. :) I feel bad for the kid, but we don't know if he did that on purpose or had other motivation. Maybe he lives with his dad who is an abusive drunk and is trying to get fired as an excuse so he can move out of state to live with his mom and go to college with his old friends from back home. In that case, it's a win for both and the OP was doing the kid a favor and didn't know it. OMG my ipad2 just came to my door!

Its Music. Music now a days contains some curse words. There were no 5 year olds in that audience...
Some adults don't use such words in their everyday life for various reasons. I think it's a personal choice whether you choose to listen to "explicit" music, and I wouldn't assume "everyone has" anything. Obviously, it was rather weird to have that type of language in such as professional atmosphere. I wouldn't expect to see it on MTV (without beeps), much less an Apple keynote presentation.
I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get "edited" out in the next few days as more people see it.

You can burn HD video to DVD as long as you have something that can play it back, eg a Mac mini Media Edition. A DVD-R DL would hold a 2hr 1080p H.264 movie (with only stereo sound and a less than perfect, imo, bitrate). More better would be 720p with 5.1 and a very high bitrate on a DVD-R DL.

I rue the day when Apple has to try and lock down OSX like MS is forced to attempt with Vista!
OS X doesn't even have a serial number in the boxes. Apple's lack of caring of this extends to the point where they haven't even bothered to have the ability to tell the difference between a pirated copy and a legitimate copy of the OS. I don't see tyrannical anti-piracy policy coming anytime soon, and I don't see Apple taking drastic measures to prevent OS X on beige boxes soon either.
Everyone seems to be forgetting the math of piracy. It's not
gross profit = (unit price) (units in use - units pirated)
it's
gross profit = (unit price) (units in use - units pirated + sales gained due to piracy)
This will be especially noticeable in Apple's case, where people that might never otherwise have the opportunity or inclination to try out OS X download it onto their PCs, fall in love with it and their next computer is a Mac. Not only has Apple made a software sale, they have also sold a piece of $2k hardware with a 20% profit margin. I personally know people that have done this.
I think that prettymuch alone of large software companies, Apple sees the other side of piracy. It's never a given that you're a pirate OR you buy software/music/movies/games/whatever in stores.

not me. the video was sooo hilarious. CES = the most prominent electronics show in the world with the MOST HIGH TECH tech you can find. and they allow for a 14.99 POS hack to ruin almost every booth.
HILARIOUS. i actually laughed out loud almost the whole video. childish yes. hilarious yes.
eye opening? yes. next year you can imagine there will be a few more companies that disable IR ports in public displays.
should gizmodo be allowed at macworld? YES. you think apple is stupid enough to allow something like that to happen? no.

Happy Birthday (yes I'm saying that to an OS). Wish I would have been part of OS X a lot earlier but I spent years, yes years contemplating which Mac to get and playing the waiting game.
