we applied ap in octoer and we got receipt on oct 24th but we found a typo error on my daughters receipt instead of 'ekthasruthi sakala' it was ektha sakala' will it be a problem at the port of entry . please suggest me.

It is now on a list that sets it up for a voice vote in the house and will certainly pass. Unfortunately though it has only two provisions- extenson of the conrad program by 5 years and an increase in the number of flex spots.
We are hopeful that once the bill reaches the senate, provsions for GC exemption and H1 eligibility will be added on.

I have a question. I am a July 2nd 485, EAD, AP filer and I did not receive my AP yet. My H1 visa stamping got expired, and I am planning to go to India for 2 months. Can I leave US before my AP gets approved, hoping that it will be approved in the next 2 months time and my attorney will send the AP papers to my India address?
Is it possible, please advice.

There is no official documentation for to do's and to not do's without AP.
But folks have gone to India without the AP and then got it fedexed while In India and used it to get back to US.
My brother in law did the same. I am not aware of the potential issues he might face in the future but will post so when something happens.
use it at your own discretion.

You can stay here as long as the I797 is valid (there is no rule to stamp it within a year). Do you have H1B stamped frome before or is this your first H1? If the first one then you have to get it stamped when you travel out of US. If this is not the first one then you can travel back on your old H1 stamp with new I797.

We still in negotiation. not come to a stage where EAD has been asked for. i am wondering what else could they ask for other than EAD like do they need to provide any proof that they will sponsor my green card or do i need to file AC21 in advance.

Population of all developed countries is in decline. So they are encouraging young people from other countries to support their economies. Now with so many baby boomers starting to retire, the working population of USA is not just stabilizing as he chose to say but going to decline. To support the US economy it needs young people to immigrate so that the baby boomers like himself can keep getting their social security checks in mail. So his argument is not persuasive enough to people who know better. But the problem is most people who don't know enough about immigration or economy can easily be brainwashed to become anti-immigration with this kind of pseudologic hogwash.

Were your collegues EB-2 classification with old PDs from the DoL's backlog centres?
I see some of the EB-2 indian nationals with old PDs received approvals so that USCIS can process their I-485.
If you are EB-3 then you might want to wait until Dec 2007.

I m trying to book an appointment online for the interview in which I have to fill up DS 156 form. There is one question # 24, where it is asking me write the address where I will stay. At present, I have not decided on address as I don't know stamping would be approved or not. So what do I need to write there. I presently stay in a different stay where I own a house.
Lawyers & experienced people pls. help out as soon as possible... I am running out of time...

I know I may sound stupid and probably the answer is that it is already complete, but wanted to confirm.
Also, when would the next years quota become available and when can one start working at the earliest ?
Is there any other way to file for H1-B now and work..?

I believe CGFNS is for foreign nationals who train outside the US. If you train here, I don't think you need it.
Well, when I talked to lawyer, even though he knew I have degree and Nclex from US, he asked me to get CGFNS visa screen.
